WebXR and browser-based VR development

Virtual reality delivered through a URL — no store, no install, no headset lock-in.

WebXR puts virtual reality behind a link. A visitor on a Meta Quest opens a normal web page, taps “enter VR”, and is inside the experience — with no store listing, no review process, and no install. The same URL still works as a flat website on every other device.

I build these as one codebase serving both: a desktop and mobile experience that degrades gracefully, and a fully immersive mode for headsets, with the comfort work that immersive design actually requires — rig-based movement rather than moving the camera under the user, no imposed head motion, frame-rate budgets held to the 72–90fps a standalone headset needs.

This suits product demonstrations, spatial showrooms, training, exhibitions and launches — anywhere the cost of asking someone to install an app is the reason nobody sees the work.

This site ships a full immersive VR mode for Meta Quest 3, built on WebXR, from the same codebase as the flat site. Read how it was built →
